Infants
Ages: 0 to 13 months.Children receive individualized care based on their needs, all while receiving plenty of warmth and affection that helps the brain develop. Our infant class enjoys their very own playground designed specifically for babies.Toddlers
Our toddlers program is divided into 2 groups- Ages: 13 to 18 months: This busy age is full of milestones and exploration. With experienced staff and plenty of room to run and grow, young toddlers will reach their goals one step at a time. - Ages: 19 to 24 months: Our older toddler class will learn through sensory play, large motor activities, and art work to get those neurons firing!
Pre-Primary
Ages: 2 yearsFocuses on fostering independence, sensory exploration, and foundational skills in language and motor development. We offer a nurturing, child-centered environment where young learners engage in hands-on activities, develop social skills, and cultivate self-confidence through practical life tasks and early learning experiences.
● Practical Life: Pouring, spooning, and buttoning to develop coordination and self-care.● Sensorial: Exploring textures and colors with materials like color tablets and sound cylinders.● Language: Matching objects to pictures and using sound baskets to build vocabulary.● Fine Motor: Puzzles and threading beads to enhance dexterity.Gross Motor: Walking on lines and balancing to promote physical development. ● Art: Simple painting and clay modeling to encourage creativity.Primary

Through mixed-age classrooms, older children often mentor younger ones, further enhancing community and social skills.Afterschool

About Us
Originally known as Kids Galore or Kids Galaxy Learning Center since 2004, Maple Grove Montessori & Childcare was established in 2024. Maple Grove Montessori & Childcare originated from the idea of wanting a center where parents feel their children will be protected and embraced. The Maple Tree is a symbol of protection, change, and strength, and a grove, to us, represents our community surrounding our families, children, and team.
Maple Grove Montessori & Childcare is a family owned and operated business. Grace and Marco Heras, San Antonio residents, became the owners of Kids Galaxy Learning Center in 2023 and although it held a good reputation, they decided to make it their own by changing the name and type of care offered. Coming to the realization that there are few Montessori Schools in the area and even fewer with reasonable pricing, they decided to transition Kids Galaxy Learning Center into Maple Grove Montessori & Childcare to offer Montessori learning to our community at a more accessible price point without sacrificing the quality of care. We want all of our families to feel welcome at Maple Grove Montessori & Childcare, A Montessori Within Reach.
Grace Heras, MS - Founder & Owner
Grace obtained her Bachelor's degree in Human Environmental Science with an emphasis in Lifespan Development and her Masters of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Arkansas. Prior to owning Maple Grove Montessori & Childcare, she worked as an advocate for individuals with disabilities ranging from job training, to college accommodations, to ABA therapy for children on the autism spectrum. She and her husband, Marco, moved to San Antonio in 2020, and they also own assisted living communities for the elderly in San Antonio. Grace has known since she was a young girl that her purpose and passion in life is to help people, so it is her honor to have the opportunity to care for both children and the elderly of our community.

What ages does Maple Grove Montessori serve?
We accept children children from 6 weeks to 12 years old.
What are your hours of operation?
Our center is opened from 6:30AM - 6:00PM Monday through Friday.
Do you offer part time or full time programs?
At this time we offer full time for children 0 to 6 years old, and after school care for public school children.
Do you provide meals and snacks?
Yes, we provide breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack.
What are your tuition rates?
